The French duo of Fairy Peak! and Chausette45 to team
Entering RLCS 2022-23, the seasoned duo of Victor "Fairy Peak!" Locquet and Thibault "Chausette45" Grzesiak are expected to team, and are still on the hunt for a third. Their tryouts as of today are inconclusive, but the likelihood of it being a French player is high. Although both players had a subpar season, they hope to rekindle the dominance they held in the past.
Fairy Peak!’s Team Vitality had a lot of expectations to live up to entering RLCS 2021-22 as the RLCS X European Champions. The roster of Yanis "Alpha54" Champenois, Alexandre "Kaydop" Courant, and Victor "Fairy Peak!" Locquet would struggle throughout both Fall and Winter, warranting a change, which was the benching of Fairy Peak! for Andrea "Radosin" Radovanović.
The tale of SMPR Esports is one of many woes as the team were hurdled with unfortunate events throughout their season. With a strong start in the Fall Split, placing 3rd-4th, the squad of Andy "Kassio" Landais, Thibault "Chausette45" Grzesiak, and Archie "archie" Pickthall were unable to keep their form for the Winter Split. During the offseason between Winter and Spring, Archie would end up on Endpoint as a loan, leaving Chausette45 and Kassio to pick up a 3rd to finish off the season. Brice "ExoTiiK" Bigeard was their player of choice, and played a vital role in their performance in Worlds where they missed out on Championship Sunday by one series. However, due to ExoTiiK and Chausette45 contracting COVID-19, their gameplay was adversely affected. The squad would later disband, allowing the talented trio to search for other options.
With whoever Fairy Peak! And Chausette45 end up choosing as their 3rd player to round off the roster, they will have a lot of questions to answer entering the new season of RLCS.
