Evil Geniuses set to sign Tox ahead of the new season

Following the benching of Riccardo "Rizex45" Mazzotta, the German-speaking duo of Leonardo "Catalysm" Christ and Ivan "ivn" Sabri needed a promising 3rd to complete the Evil Genius’ roster. With a strong start to the season in Fall, followed by gradually worse performances, a change to the roster was imminent. The 19-year-old German, Damian "Tox" Schäfer, is expected to round off the Evil Genius’ roster for the upcoming RLCS season.

Tox started his RLCS 2021-22 season under SK Gaming and finished under Luminosity Gaming, but his teams weren’t able to cut it amongst the tough EU competition. Luminosity finished the season in 9th place, well out of World Championship contention.

These poor results eventually led to the complete disbanding of the Luminosity Gaming roster, leaving Tox to pursue other options. The roster will still have a lot of question marks entering the new season of RLCS as Tox has yet to prove himself, however, the results are still promising.

The Evil Geniuses roster will consist of:

  • 🇦🇹 Ivan "ivn" Sabri

  • 🇩🇪 Damian “Tox” Schäfer

  • 🇩🇪 Kuno “Mumen” Hildebrandt (coach)
