Karmine Corp releasing Stake, in talks to bring in Chausette45
French organization Karmine Corp are expected to make a roster change ahead of the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split that will see them release Spanish player Marc "Stake" Bosch Plujà. While nothing is finalized, Karmine are allegedly in talks to bring in Thibault "Chausette45" Grzesiak, who currently plays for SMPR Esports.
The expected move comes after some mixed results for the roster, which has them sitting 8th overall in the European region with 900 points. The hope is that, the inclusion of French veteran Chausette45 would provide better sense of leadership and increase the defensive presence for the team moving forward. For the 2021-22 season, Chausette45 has a player rating of 0.895 with averages of 0.54 assists and 1.83 saves a game. While nothing is finalized, it’s expected that Stake is off of the roster no matter what and will be free to find to a new team for the Spring Split.
If Chausette does make the move to Karmine, the future of SMPR Esports does become less certain with previous rumors brewing about Archie “Archie” Pickthall possibly departing the organization after a disappointing Winter Split.
While not in prime position for a direct qualification for the World Championship, Karmine will be looking to make a push for a Wildcard spot and clinch qualification that way, though they’re going to have plenty of work to do.
The Karmine Corp roster for the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split is expected to consist of:
🇧🇪 Maëllo “AztraL” Ernst
🇲🇦 Amine “itachi” Benayachi
🇫🇷 Thibault "Chausette45" Grzesiak
🇧🇪 Wagner "Eversax" Benjamin (coach)
