Heroic set to sign noahsaki

Heroic are set to announce the signing of Noah “noahsaki” Gillespie ahead of the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split following the departure of star player Ole "Oaly" van Doorn in February

Since their November entry into the esport where they signed the trio of Jos "ViolentPanda" van Meurs, Thomas "ThO." Binkhorst and Oaly, Heroic have struggled for form. A poor 15th-16th placement in the final Fall Split regional saw ThO’s removal from the roster. As a replacement the roster brought onboard Maurice "Yukeo" Weihs to revive the old Dignitas chemistry between the Austrian and ViolentPanda. Yet, even with Yukeo’s assistance, the team failed to make it past the closed qualifiers in all three regional events. Subsequently, Oaly decided to mutually part ways with the organization in February leaving Heroic to look for a new addition once again. The Norwegian organization decided to settle on the inexperienced English talent noahsaki.

Noahsaki has been plying his trade in the depths of the European bubble scene for the past two years and has slowly been growing his reputation as another English prospect. During the RLCS 2021-22 Fall Split, noahsaki formed a team known as GigaGuys and managed to make the closed qualifier of Fall Regional #2 alongside Jonas "Shila" Cekrezi and Aston “Accro” Smith. For the Winter Split, the team brought onboard Mehdi "Iryzer" Kheloui as a replacement for Shila and continued to upset more widely known players throughout the open qualifier format. Ultimately the team failed to make another closed qualifier but showed a lot of promise. They subsequently disbanded in early March with noahsaki expected to go onto bigger things. Heroic will be putting a lot of faith in an inexperienced sixteen-year-old prospect, but ViolentPanda has been known to make gambles on lesser known talents in the past.

The Heroic roster for the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split is expected to consist of:

  • 🇬🇧 Noah “noahsaki” Gillespie

  • 🇳🇱 Jos "ViolentPanda" van Meurs

  • 🇦🇹 Maurice "Yukeo" Weihs

  • 🇺🇸 John "Virge" Willis (coach)
