Guild potentially replacing Noly, made contact with MaRc_by_8.

As the European whirlwind continues, a new development has been made that could see Spanish star Marc "MaRc_By_8." Domingo (formerly departed from Team BDS) find his way on Guild Esports for a departing Joseph "noly" Kidd.

Guild currently find themselves sitting at 13th (420 points) in the European rankings for the 2021-22 RLCS season, a disappointing drop from their 4th place finish in RLCS X for points and 5th during the European Championship. While the likelihood of the roster qualifying for Worlds is low, the organization still wants to finish strong and have a chance to make the Spring Major in London, England.

According to Octane, the departing noly has the lowest player rating on the struggling Guild roster (0.835 compared to crr and Deevo’s 1.048 and 0.939, respectively). MaRc_by_8, despite being an integral part of Team BDS capturing the Fall Major title, is expected to become a free agent. While Guild have made initial contacts, they’re not the only organization that are seeking out his services ahead of the Spring Split. The situation remains fluid but with the transfer window closing in a week, decisions will need to be made fast.

If the move goes through, the Guild Esports roster for the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split is expected to consist of:

  • 🇪🇸 Cristian "crr" Fernandez

  • 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 David "Deevo" Morrow

  • 🇪🇸 Marc "MaRc_By_8." Domingo

  • 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Mark "Markydooda" Exton (coach)
