Team BDS set to sign Seikoo
With the trade window coming to an end, Team BDS are set to sign Enzo “Seikoo” Grondein from Endpoint for the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split. The young Frenchman will replace Marc “MaRc_By_8” Domingo in the starting lineup, while Domingo moves into a substitute position.
Despite initially making Axel "Vatira." Touret their primary target, Team BDS enquired about the availability of Seikoo last week and have since settled on the Endpoint star to be their new man. Seikoo enjoyed a successful breakout period during RLCS 2021-22 and has built a reputation as one of Europe’s emerging superstars. He joined Endpoint back in July 2021 following a year long competitive ban from the RLCS and propelled the British organization to two regional wins during the Fall Split. Alongside Lucas "RelatingWave" Rose and Otto "Metsanauris" Kaipiainen, Seikoo was able to qualify for both Majors this season achieving a 5th-8th in the Fall Split and a 9th-12th in the Winter Split. While failing to challenge for both titles, Endpoint has shown significant growth thanks to the addition of Seikoo last year. Since signing for Endpoint, Seikoo has a 1.14 octane.gg player rating with an average of 0.86 goals, 0.55 assists and 1.76 saves per game.
With Seikoo linking up with Alex "Extra" Paoli and Evan "M0nkey M00n" Rogez for the Spring Split, this will be a the first time Team BDS has been able to field a full French speaking roster since their entry into the esport back in February 2020. Having been a mainstay at the top of European Rocket League with MaRc_By_8 for over a year, Seikoo’s addition will come with a new set of challenging expectations for the squad, but could be the dawn of a new French powerhouse. The team remains at the top of the European rankings with a guaranteed 2532 points and are in a prime position to qualify for the World Championship in August.
