Guild Esports signing trio of Stake, accro, and LuiisP
Following the release of David “Deevo” Morrow, and the departures of Ivan “Dorito” Ruiz Jiménez and Cristian “crr” Fernandez to ARG and Complexity Gaming, respectively, Guild Esports are set to sign a new roster. They’ll be picking up Marc “Stake” Bosch Plujà, Luis “LuiisP” Puente Peña, and Aston “accro” Smith to compete next season.
Guild Esports had a difficult season last year, finishing 14th in the European standings and only participating in five of the nine RLCS events. Their season was highlighted by their performance at the Gamers8 LAN in Saudi Arabia, where they finished second to FURIA Esports and won a $300,000 prize.
Stake began last season with Karmine Corp, but when the roster failed to meet expectations he was benched and signed by Williams Resolve before the Spring Split. He played in all six possible events with Karmine Corp, but failed to qualify for any of the regional events in the Spring Split with Williams Resolve. LuiisP spent last season playing for Natus Vincere, also known as NAVI, and competed in six RLCS events. Third man accro made his RLCS debut with WYLDE last season, playing in the first event of the Spring Split. Guild Esports is also signing Francisco “Arleyobi” González to coach the team. He spent all of last season with Karmine Corp, guiding them through two rough splits before becoming assistant coach as Benjamin “Eversax” Wagner joined the team before the Spring Split. He then left the team after the Spring Major.
Guild Esports’ new roster will consist of:
🇪🇸 Marc “Stake” Bosch Plujà
🇪🇸/🇩🇪 Luis “LuiisP” Puente Peña
🇬🇧 Aston “accro” Smith
🇪🇸 Francisco “Arleyobi” González
