Dignitas signing trio of dreaz, Andy, and Zineel
After competing in Europe last season with Jack "ApparentlyJack" Benton, Joris "Joreuz" Robben, and Kyle "Scrub Killa" Robertson, Dignitas are set to sign a new roster in North America. They’ll be picking up Andres "dreaz" Jordan, Andrew "Andy" Nolan, and Kadin "Zineel" Zineel to compete.
Dignitas spent much of last season as one of Europe’s elite teams, qualifying for the Fall and Winter Majors and winning one Regional Event. Their run was highlighted by a perfect 9-0 record in the Swiss Stage of the Fall Major, but they were upset by SMPR Esports in the quarterfinals. They made it into the World Championship through the Wildcard, where they qualified with a 3-1 record, and finished 13th-16th following losses to Team Falcons and The Club. Following the departures of Scrub Killa and Joreuz and the buyout of ApparentlyJack by Gen.G, Dignitas is set to sign their new team in North America. Dignitas is a North American organization, and the organization already has a League of Legends team in the region.
Andy spent the 2021-22 season with the Susquehanna Soniqs, playing in eight of a possible nine events last season. He also gained experience with several different rosters in RLCS X, and will be the most veteran player on the new Dignitas roster. The only player with RLCS LAN experience, however, will be dreaz, who played in the Fall Major with G2 Esports and in the Spring Major and World Championship with OpTic Gaming. He performed well at all three events, and will hope to lead Dignitas back to international events. Rounding out the team is Zineel, who made his RLCS debut last season in the Spring Split Regional Event Two with Torrent. He only played in one RLCS event, but he led the team to their AAA Challenger Series Super Event 2 win, and also gained LAN experience when playing in the Gamers8 event.
