Williams Resolve set sights on Stake

With the trade window coming to its final conclusion, Williams Resolve are set to sign Marc "Stake" Bosch Plujà from Karmine Corp following the departure of Andrea "Radosin" Radovanović to Team Vitality for the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split.

Having lost out on their initial target, Brice "ExoTiiK" Bigeard, to SMPR Esports earlier this week, Williams Resolve are expected to bring in Spanish veteran Stake after Karmine Corp’s decision to bench him for Joseph "noly" Kidd. At the age of 21, Stake has over four years experience playing professional standard Rocket League, but only really came to prominence at the top of Europe when he signed for Vodafone Giants alongside Damian "Tox" Schäfer and Samuel "Zamué" Cortés in June 2020. Together the team proved to be a competitive roster, but it lacked consistency and improvements were quickly needed. Amine "itachi" Benayachi would go onto sign for the roster as a replacement for Tox in October 2020. Results faltered towards the end of RLCS X which led to both Stake and Itachi parting ways with Zamue to sign with Karmine Corp alongside Maëllo "AztraL" Ernst. While on paper, the team was seen as one of the strong contenders major titles, the roster could only achieve one top four appearance across six regional events during the Fall and Winter Splits of RLCS 2021-22. Subsequently, Karmine Corp decided a change was needed to make a push for the Spring Major.

Likewise, Williams Resolve will be hoping to make their own push for Spring Major qualification despite the departure of Radosin. Stake brings international experience to a roster that is talented but has yet to reach the highest echelons of European Rocket League on a consistent basis. Stake has proven in the past to be someone who can improve the players around him and Williams Resolve will be hoping to cash in on his experience.

The Williams Resolve roster for the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split is expected to consist of:

  • 🇪🇸 Marc "Stake" Bosch Plujà

  • 🇫🇷 Thiméo "saizen" Corcuff

  • 🇫🇷 Pierre "pryyme" Binet

  • 🇳🇱 Rix "Rix_Ronday" Ronday (coach)
