Moist Esports set to sign AztraL

In a stunning 36-hour turnaround, Moist Esports are now set to sign Maëllo “AztraL” Ernst to complete the roster alongside Joe “Joyo” Young and Finlay “rise.” Ferguson. Moist Esports were previously expected to sign Archie “archie.” Pickford to the roster, but have instead decided on AztraL as their man.

After the recently announced departure of reigning European MVP Axel “Vatira” Touret, Moist Esports were left looking for a third man on their roster. The loss of Vatira will be highly impactful to the Spring Major champions, as he led the team in Octane.gg Rating, assists per game, and saves per game at both the Spring Major and World Championship. Vatira is expected to sign with Karmine Corp, alongside Brice “ExoTiiK” Bigeard and Amine “itachi” Benayachi, to compete alongside a fully French-speaking roster. Vatira was also named Defense MVP during Moist Esports’ Spring Major triumph.

AztraL is a longtime veteran of the scene, as he made his RLCS debut in Season 8 for Dignitas. His strong play in his rookie season helped Dignitas finish 3rd-4th at the World Championship, and he has remained at the top of the European scene ever since. He led Dignitas to a European title in Season 9 before joining Oxygen Esports for RLCS X. Before the RLCS 2021-22 season, he shifted to Karmine Corp, alongside itachi and Marc “Stake” Bosch, creating one of the most promising teams in Europe. They won the WePlay Invitational before faltering in the 2021-22 Fall and Winter Splits. Following these disappointing results, Joseph “noly” Kidd joined the team. AztraL helped the new-look Karmine Corp to the Spring Major, where they placed 4th, and the World Championship, where they finished 5th-8th after a Game 7 loss to the eventual champions, Team BDS. His veteran experience could help Moist Esports achieve their dream of a World Championship.

The new Moist Esports team will consist of:

  • 🇧🇪 Maëllo “Aztral” Ernst

  • 🇬🇧 Finlay “rise.” Ferguson

  • 🇬🇧 Joe “Joyo” Young

  • 🇬🇧 Noah “noah” Hinder (coach)
