Hibbs set to mutually part ways with 00 Nation

Joseph "hibbs" Hibbert has come to an agreement with 00 Nation to part ways with the organization after a tepid finish to RLCS 2021-22 for the squad. This move will bring an end to a 23-month partnership between Hibbs and George "Breezi" Rusiecki after they joined Team Singularity together back in July 2020.

Hibbs and Breezi have been playing together for 701 days

00 Nation signed the ex-Team Singularity core of Hibbs and Breezi alongside former Top Blokes player Jack "FlamE" Pearton in September 2021 and did not make any changes to the lineup throughout RLCS 2021-22. The roster made a main event on seven separate occasions across the season and enjoyed varying success. Their best result came during the Winter Regional Event #3 where they placed 5th-6th after a 3-0 group stage record. Despite this, 00 Nation often struggled to match the best in the region and could not qualify for any of the three LAN majors, especially in the Spring Split where they failed to make two regionals. As a result, it has been mutually agreed that Hibbs will depart the roster heading into the offseason.

The team is already exploring their options in the UK scene and have made contact with former Heroic player Noah "noahsaki" Gillespie and current WYLDE professional Aston "accro" Smith. Both players are emerging talents in the esport and have enjoyed a breakout season in the bubble scene. Noahsaki joined Heroic back in April 2022 to team up with veterans Maurice "Yukeo" Weihs and Jos "ViolentPanda" van Meurs but was released only a month later after the team struggled for chemistry and results. Accro joined WYLDE for the Spring Split and made his first main event of the season during Spring Regional #1 with teammates Shaun "Crispy" Tafara Murindagomo and Simas "simas" Gurskis. 00 Nation have yet to settle on a replacement for Hibbs, but clearly there are many options available to the organization.
