Team Vitality to complete roster with saizen
After weeks of uncertainty for Team Vitality, the dust seems to have settled. As Alexis "zen" Bernier is only allowed to play in the Spring Split, Yanis "Alpha54" Champenois and Andrea "Radosin" Radovanović will have Thiméo "saizen" Corcuff as their third at the start of the RLCS 2022-23 season.
RLCS 2021-22 was anything but succesful for Team Vitality, with the team missing out on most LAN tournaments. They only made an appearance in the Fall Major, where they were quickly eliminated in the Swiss Stage. Change was necessary for the French organization to return to their former glory. In early 2022, Team Vitality added Victor "Ferra" Francal as a coach and Radosin as a player, but it doesn’t stop there. Ahead of the new RLCS season, saizen will complete the fully French roster in place of Alexandre "Kaydop" Courant.
Even though saizen hasn’t made it to an RLCS Major yet, he has gained plenty of experience on Atlantide Wave during RLCS X and on Williams Resolve during RLCS 2021-22. For most of his time on both these teams, he has played with Radosin as one of his teammates, so saizen won’t be a stranger to Radosin and his playstyle.
As zen’s ban from Psyonix-operated tournaments gets lifted in February 2023 at the latest, he will be available to play in the Spring Split. When zen is allowed to play, he is expected to leave the bench and replace someone on Team Vitality’s starting roster. It’s possible that saizen, as the newest addition to the team, will be the one to get replaced.
Team Vitality’s full lineup for RLCS 2022-23 is set to be:
