Spacestation Gaming to kick Retals
Spacestation Gaming are expected to kick Slater “retals” Thomas from their roster just a short time after the team has finished competing in the RLCS 2021-22 World Championship.
Retals as he competes during the 2021-22 RLCS World Championship
Retals joined Spacestation from the Pittsburgh Knights in July of 2020 and helped the organization establish itself as one of the top teams in North America for the last two years and has been seen as one of the better IGLs in the Rocket League scene. Thomas was informed of the team’s decision sometime during the World Championship while they were still in the tournament. It’s unclear what the motivation for making this change was, but it is known that it was made by the players and not the organization.
Currently, the next destination for Retals is unknown. Spacestation are expected to target Oxygen Esports’ Logan "Lj." Wilt as his replacement.
If the move goes through, the expected Spacestation roster for the 2022-23 RLCS season will consist of:
🇺🇸 Tshaka "Arsenal" Lateef Taylor Jr
🇺🇸 Daniel "Daniel" Piecenski
🇺🇸 Logan "Lj." Wilt
🇺🇸 Robert "Chrome" Gomez (coach)
