Evil Geniuses begin the search to replace Rizex45

Evil Geniuses have begun the process to replace Riccardo "Rizex45" Mazzotta after the German professional announced his departure from the starting lineup earlier this month. The organization will explore their options following the RLCS 2021-22 World Championship but have so far placed Kurtis "Kash" Cannon, David "Rezears" Wünsch and Damian "Tox" Schäfer on a shortlist.

Evil Geniuses are on the hunt for a new addition to their squad

Following their failure to qualify for the RLCS 2021-22 World Championship, Evil Geniuses decided to build around the core of Ivan "ivn" Sabri and Leonardo "Catalysm" Christ Ramos heading into the offseason. Rizex45 has been allowed to explore his options elsewhere after 16 months together with his former teammates. The team have already made contact with a number of potential replacements and have not ruled out a move to go international by bringing in a non-German speaker such as Kash. Kash departed Misfits Gaming earlier this month after impressing in many games across RLCS 2021-22. He is one of the most sought after free agents on the market right now and could form a strong star trio alongside Ivn and Catalysm.

The team are also exploring the possibility of bringing in a German free agent with both Rezears and Tox available on the market. Despite departing BS+ Competition back in June after a rather unsuccessful RLCS 2021-22, Rezears made a huge impression at Gamers8 2022 propelling HEET Gaming to the playoffs and increasing his stock tenfold. Tox found consistency with Luminosity Gaming during RLCS 2021-22 and is now a seasoned professional having competed for over two years. Both players will be looking to make a step up next season and Evil Geniuses could provide it.
